About the posts

These are both Group-B gazetted entry posts in the state’s accounts and audit cadre. Assistant Controllers are posted to treasuries and departmental accounts wings; Audit Officers audit local bodies, universities and government undertakings under the Karnataka State Audit and Accounts Department. Selection

Selection has a preliminary examination, a main examination and document verification. There is no interview. The preliminary paper is objective and screens candidates for the mains, which has descriptive papers on accounting, auditing, financial management and general studies.
